About KAR


Korean Alumni at Rectory (KAR) is
an organization with the mission of serving alumni who have graduated from Rectory School in the United States.

Through both regular and spontaneous year-round programming and alumni engagement opportunities, 
we strive to promote the development of Rectory and to contribute to the local community through educational, cultural, and academic projects.


As a volunteer-driven and alumni-oriented network and community of over 300 alumni, 
KAR allows Rectory alumni, families, and friends the opportunity to connect to both one another and to Rectory School.

About Rectory School

Rectory School is an independent, coeducational, junior boarding and day school in Pomfret, Connecticut, United States.

The school was founded by Rev. Frank H. Bigelow in 1920, with the mission of providing students, from early childhood through middle school, with an enriched and supportive academic, social and ethical community that addresses individual learning styles, aptitudes and needs while promoting personal self-worth and accountability.
